Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us at Together We Rise (“Together We Rise”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Through the websites at https://ella.care and https://digitallifebook.com/ (the “Website”), our Ella mobile application (the “App”), services, tools, and features (collectively with the Website and App, the “Services”), we strive to create a digital space for foster youth to capture their most meaningful memories with the assistance of those assigned to their care.
Lifebook through these Services. While in this context we may receive information (including about the relevant youth) directly from foster care agencies, or from other individuals on behalf of the agency, we do not access, use, disclose, or otherwise process any of this information for our own purposes.
We receive very limited information about the individuals who choose to interact with the Services to contribute to building a youth's Lifebook, such as foster care agency personnel, third party advocates, social workers, resource parents, foster youth, and other contributors who are invited to contribute to a youth's Lifebook (“Users”).
This Privacy Policy describes our handling of this information, as well as information that we receive directly through the Services, such as contact information submitted through the Website, as well as information automatically collected by cookies, web beacons, or other similar technologies (described further in the “Cookies and Similar Technologies” section below) that is used solely for system management and to improve the content and navigation of our Services.
2. UPDATING THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time in which case we will update the “Last Revised” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes in the way in which we use information we collect, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you, such as emailing you at the last email address you provided us, posting notice of such changes on the Services, or by other means consistent with applicable law. If you do not agree to any updates to this Privacy Policy, please do not access or continue to use the Services.
3. OUR RECEIPT, USE, AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We receive certain personal information about Users that is necessary to provide the Services, such as a User's name, email address, phone number, password, and other account information. We also receive certain information from visitors to our Website or when contacting us to schedule a demo of our Services, such as name, contact information, and other information that you choose to share with us.
We do not use or share personal information about Users or Website visitors with others, except to provide and improve the Services (including to facilitate account creation, provide related administration information to Users), as directed by Users or with a User's consent, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. In certain circumstances, we may also need to share personal information with third parties as necessary to operate the Services, or as otherwise required or permitted by law, including:
- With vendors or other service providers, such as our cloud storage and IT service management vendors, data analytics vendors, and security vendors.
- With our affiliates or otherwise within our corporate group.
- In connection with an asset sale, merger, bankruptcy, or other business transaction.
- When you request us to share certain information with third parties, such as through your use of other similar-mission partners (i.e. Connect Our Kids).

We may also need to use or share information to comply with any applicable legal obligations (including cooperation with law enforcement, judicial orders, and regulatory inquiries), to enforce any applicable terms of service, to ensure the safety and security of Together We Rise, foster youth, our Users or others, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of others.
4. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Like many websites and online services, we automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services, including through cookies and similar technologies. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you may be able to control the way in which your devices permit the use of cookies, web beacons/clear gifts, and other tracking technologies (“Tracking Technologies”). If you so choose, you may block or delete Tracking Technologies from your browser; however, blocking or deleting these may cause some of the Services, including any portal features and general functionality, to work incorrectly. If you follow links to sites not affiliated or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of these sites, including the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information found on these sites. Information you provide on public or semi-public venues may also be viewable by other users of the Services and/or users of those third-party online platforms without limitation as to its use by us or by a third party. Our inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators, except as disclosed on the Services.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
While children under the age of 13 may be provided with credentials to access and view their Lifebook, we do not seek or knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected personal information from a child under 13 years of age, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database. If you are the legal guardian of a child under 13 years of age who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us using the below information to request that it be deleted.
7. DATA SECURITY AND SECURITY
Please note that any information you send to us electronically, while using the Services or otherwise interacting with us, may not be secure when it is transmitted to us. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us. Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” Any information you transmit to us you do at your own risk.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). When we no longer have any business purpose to keep your personal information, we will take commercially reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it, or otherwise store it securely until deletion is possible.
8. YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION
You can request disclosure of the information that we hold about you and request a copy of this information, or request that we delete some or all information about you from our systems, by emailing info@ella.care. Please note that in some circumstances, we may not be able to fully comply with your request, but in those circumstances we will still respond to notify you of such a decision. In some cases, we may also need you to provide us with additional information, which may include information about you, if necessary to verify your identity and the nature of your request.
In addition, any California residents under the age of eighteen (18) who have registered to use the Services and who have posted content or information on the Services can request that such content or information be removed from the Services by contacting us at the e-mail or address set forth in the “How to Contact Us” section below. Such request must state that they personally posted such content or information and detail where the content or information is posted. Subject to any exceptions that might apply, we will make reasonable good faith efforts to remove the post from prospective public view or anonymize it so the minor cannot be individually identified. This removal process cannot ensure complete or comprehensive removal. For instance, third-parties may have republished the post and archived copies of it may be stored by search engines and others that we do not control.

We are based in the United States. The Services are for individuals located in the United States, so if you access the Services from outside the United States, we want to remind you that our handling of information about you will be subject to United States data privacy laws.
